Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our busy Tenancies team. This is a job-share post, so you will be required to work collaboratively with your job-share partner, ensuring an effective handover on a weekly basis.

As a Housing Officer, you’ll play an essential role in delivering a personal, high quality, customer focused tenancy management service to our residents, ensuring they comply with their conditions of tenancy.

You will be responsible for managing a patch of designated properties. Your duties will include tenancy sign-ups, tenancy compliance (including anti-social behaviour), amendments to tenancies, mutual exchanges and general estate management. You will also work closely with other members of the organisation to ensure that residents receive a seamless service.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant, proven experience of working in a housing management or similar role
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • A proven ability of creating and sustaining effective internal and external relationships
  • A good understanding of social housing policy and law, including anti-social behaviour and tenancy management
  • Good IT skills, with the ability to prepare reports, draft correspondence, newsletters, and maintain accurate records
  • Access to your own transport as the role requires travel throughout the region.

  • Pay: £14,054.76 + car allowance Annually
