Job Description

We’re recruiting for a lettings coordinator based in Basingstoke on a full time, fixed term basis for 12 months, working 37 hours per week.

As a lettings coordinator, you’ll provide an efficient lettings service to prospective and existing customers across a range of property types. You’ll manage the complete void and lettings process to achieve the quickest re-let times. Working closely with the voids repairs teams to make sure the voids process is effective. And that information is shared and handover dates are agreed.

You’ll manage all viewings and assess applicants/sign-ups, ensuring that you keep customers informed at all stages of the process. Therefore creating a positive customer experience! As part of this process, you’ll undertake affordability and suitability checks, managing the nominations process between local authority and other partner landlords. Effectively relationship building is an important part of your role as you’ll be required to establish partnerships with relevant voluntary and statutory agencies, local authorities and other relevant support agencies.

Candidate Requirements

Cross-team working is important as you’ll have regular contact with our neighbourhoods teams to complete the necessary assessments and visits. As well as the support teams to make sure customers are referred at the start of their tenancy (if necessary). You’ll have a good background in a customer focused role with experience of liaising with internal and external customers. You’ll work well as part of a team, using your initiative to effectively manage your workload with minimal supervision. It’ll be really beneficial if you have existing knowledge of social housing and lettings processes.
