Job Description

We are recruiting a Gas Engineer (1 post) to join our Onward Repairs team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business to deliver Gas servicing, installations and breakdown repairs, undertaking activities within customer’s homes, empty properties and for other clients as required.

Onward Repairs are Onward Homes in house contractor and are one of the largest contractors in the area and we aim to deliver a high-quality flexible service to our customers ensuring our homes remain fit for the future.

We operate across the Lancashire region providing all day-to-day repairs and vacant properties repairs, gas servicing and out of hours service to our customers.

What we are looking for:

Experience of gas systems and working within a commercial or property maintenance environment.
Track record of completing Gas Servicing programmes.
Proven ability to deliver a quality customer centred repairs service.
Proven ability to work to required standards.
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, regulation and ACOPS relevant to the post and associated tasks undertaken within it, in line with HASAWA 1974.
Essential requirements:

Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (recognised Gas trade qualification).
Qualified to work with Central heating, Water heaters, Cookers, Pipe work, unvented hot water, (formally ACOPS 1-14).
Qualified Gas Safe Engineer (CCN1) – Install, Commission, Service, Safety Check Natural Gas and LPG and appropriate CSCS card.
Full UK driving license.
Ability to use PDA technology (handheld/mobile working technology).
The role may involve participation in an emergency 'out of hours' service as required on a rota basis which includes weekend work. This is in addition to the contractual hours for which you will received and additional compensation.

Our Onward Repairs head office is based in Accrington, but you should be prepared to travel across Lancashire to cover our repair's service.
