Community Resilience Officer – Fixed-Term

The role

Working within the Community Investment Team, the Community Resilience Officer will be responsible for coordinating a range of activities, projects, and partnerships across our estates in Southwark. The aim of the role is to:

Engage with our customers to build an understanding of their needs
Reduce social deprivation with a focus on food, furniture, and d igital poverty
Support their wellbeing and resilience in a post-pandemic environment
Support the delivery of employment and training opportunities
Liaise closely with our supply chain to maximise resource and impact for our customers
You’ll also establish a Community Development Plan, coordinate activities, engage with local partners and seek funding to stretch resources to create greater impact from available resources. Building sustainable communities, whilst supporting their local initiatives, in collaboration with our supply chain and local partners is the core of this role.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week Monday – Friday on a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2023.

What we need from you

It’ll be highly advantageous if you have experience in a similar role with understanding of the needs of social housing customers
Good at multi-tasking, prioritising and working to tight deadlines
Report writing skills
A strong communicator who is confident working with various internal and external stakeholders
Experience of delivering high quality projects and/or services
Excellent listening skills
Works well under pressure, resilient and professional

A salary of circa £28,000 per year, depending on skills/experience
