The basics of plumbing, waste and drainage for non-technical staff

Plumbing and drainage systems are a fundamental part of property maintenance. Understanding how they work is essential for any effective repairs service.

This interactive course provides non-technical staff with the basic knowledge of plumbing, waste and drainage that they need in order to carry out their day to day work effectively.

It covers:

  • The different ways in which water is supplied to properties
  • The components it uses to travel around the building
  • How both hot and cold water is stored prior to use
  • How waste water is disposed of, using both above and below ground drainage systems.

This course will provide delegates with the knowledge they need to help analyse different types of common defects that affect domestic properties. It will give them the confidence they need when dealing with customers as well as technical colleagues and trade operatives.

It is ideal for all non-technical staff, whether new in post or as a refresher.

Essential for property services teams, customer services advisors and housing management.

Cancellations and substitutions:

If you are unable to attend an event or public training course, please let us know in writing (email is fine) at least 48 hours before. Please email events@hqnetwork.co.uk

Otherwise, a cancellation fee of £60 plus VAT will be chargeable.

If you are using a package place to attend and do not inform us within the agreed time frame, then a place will be taken to cover your non-attendance.

Cancellations must be made in writing, and will be acknowledged by HQN Limited.
