GDPR has now been in force for 18 months. 25 May 2018 was marked by messages of impending doom and the threat of extortionate fines for organisations if they did not comply. Not to mention millions of emails from organisations that you hadn’t heard from in years asking for consent to process your data.

Legal Jill Jones

Jill Jones has over 15 years’ experience in governance, assurance, health and safety and risk management. Jill has worked predominantly in the social housing and charitable sector for the last ten years and also has a wealth of experience in the private sector. She has led several governance reviews, board appraisals and has the successful delivery of many cultural change projects. She has implemented and advised on tenant involvement strategies and designed and delivered the successful “Be on Board” tenant development programme.

Jill has a strong knowledge of regulation in both the English and Welsh housing sector and has spent the last ten years delivering strategic, regulatory and operational management services to the housing sector.

Jill is a registered risk practitioner, specialising in risk management services, compliance with GDPR and Business Continuity/Emergency Planning. She created and chaired Risk Forum Wales for a number of years to improve risk practices in the social housing sector. She is a regular speaker at national events and has had several articles published in the field of risk management and social housing.
