The RIEN Scottish Annual Conference 2019 – Managing income and sustaining tenancies
- Type HQN Event
- Venue Edinburgh
- Start 23 Oct 2019 10:30
- End 23 Oct 2019 16:00
By popular demand, we’re re-launching the RIEN Scottish Annual Conference.
Now’s the time to grab your places for an informative and thought-provoking day.
The conference will be another close look at what’s happening in the world of housing income management.
This year’s programme
The conference will be chaired by Tony Newman, RIEN Lead Associate.
Tony will lead the day and kick us off with a “state of the nation” overview of housing income management in 2019, with a wealth of positive practice examples and the key features of top performing housing providers across the UK.
Practical positive practice case studies are always a popular feature of RIEN events and we’re delighted to welcome the Wheatley Group and Edinburgh City Council to provide some practical performance tips and ideas.
We’re delighted to welcome Aaliya Seyal, Director of Customer Journey at Citizens Advice Scotland. Aaliya will provide an update on the work of CAS, particularly around landlord engagement and the Universal Credit Help to Claim programme.
The conference will also examine partnerships between housing providers and credit unions to support households’ financial wellbeing, reduce evictions and drive down rent arrears.
The day will also feature break-out performance improvement workshops, giving a valuable opportunity for learning and networking.
We have more planned, so watch out for further announcements about the programme.
Most importantly, if you want to be there, book now as places will go fast!
