Leadership and Organisational Development Hub conference

Virtual conference

Essential for everyone with an interest in culture, people, learning and the work environment, including HR and LAOD specialists, executive teams, operational managers and those involved in planning and strategy.

Covid-19 has brought about so many changes for the way people work – great challenges as well as great opportunities. Whilst it could be several years before the long-term impact of the pandemic becomes clear, housing, like other sectors, needs to embrace the changes and consider what this all means for its organisations, culture and people strategy.

HQN’s LAOD conference is the place to go for ideas and inspiration about what the future world of work could look like, and to hear how organisations are responding to the rate and pace of change and what they’re doing a year into the pandemic.

The session will cover:

  • What teams could look like in the future
  • The skills and attributes of future leaders
  • How to maintain professionalism and visibility in a virtual world  –  a key part of the Social Housing White Paper
  • How to be creative around future offers to employees
  • What does this all mean for your business and people strategy?

Jane Atherton, learning and organisational development specialist and HQN lead for our LAOD hub, is putting together a full programme of powerful speakers. She’ll also play a key part at Chair sharing her expert views and experience of the current situation.

Key speakers:

Keynote speaker - Perry Timms, Founder and Chief Energy Officer: People & Transformational HR Ltd

Radical thinker, renowned blogger and global speaker. Perry will share his thoughts about what lies ahead – @PerryTimms / https://uk.linkedin.com/in/perrytimms. He will definitely push the boundaries and energise you.  Hear what previous delegates said:

Yvonne Castle, Chief Executive, Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust

Session title: The housing association that is waving goodbye to the office.

Yes its true. Johnnie Johnson HT are taking a really radical (or perhaps not) approach and getting rid of their offices. Yvonne will talk about the background to this, how they arrived at the decision and their plans.

Yvonne became Chief Executive at Johnnie Johnson in May 2017 having worked in social housing for many years. Whilst having an early career as a qualified accountant, Yvonne has specific expertise in the ‘softer’ side of people, change and performance management.
