Mental Health Awareness Week - Supporting employees’ mental health during COVID and beyond.
Employee mental health has become more important than ever for landlords over the past year.
The UK’s leading psychiatrist has warned COVID poses the greatest long-term threat to mental health since the second world war.
The pandemic has meant that many people’s traditional ways of coping with mental health problems have not been readily available and teams are having to deal with increasingly complex scenarios in their communities, with sharp rises in anti-social behaviour and domestic abuse.
While flexibly working from home has had its benefits for some staff, others have found it challenging and for employers it has meant becoming innovative and creative when it comes to connecting with their employees, boosting morale and supporting people’s mental health and resilience.
This event for HR professionals and those leading frontline teams working in the housing sector will look at best practice examples of how housing providers have supported the mental health of staff throughout the pandemic and lessons learned that can be carried into the future.
