GDPR - managing data protection and cyber risks during the pandemic

Virtual workshop

The global Covid-19 pandemic has proved challenging and has certainly accelerated the agile working agenda for many housing associations.

Working remotely has become the ‘new norm’ and looks set to continue for the foreseeable future. While it brings many benefits, it also increases the cyber-related risks within the sector.

This practical workshop, led by HQN GDPR expert Jill Jones, will:

  • Explore the cyber challenges housing providers now face providing practical tips and advice on how data protection risks can be effectively managed
  • Examine the increased threat of cyber-related incidents and the practical steps that you can take to mitigate these risks
  • Provide expert advice on how you can stay on top of your organisation’s GDPR requirements whilst working remotely.

Johnty Mongan, Cyber Risk Consultant at Gallagher, will provide additional insight into cyber security breaches and how hackers are able to access your organisation's systems with a LIVE demonstration. He’ll share his experience about potential risks and advise what actions you and your organisations should be taking in order to mitigate these risks.

Exclusive, free consultation for all delegates

Johnty is offering a free of charge cyber consultation for up to 30 minutes. This would be a general conversation around your IT security and any concerns you may have. It will include the results from an open intelligence investigation (a way of collecting and analysing information from publicly available sources) which may highlight vulnerabilities in your IT systems that could potentially make them more of a target for a cyber-attack, such as if any email addresses or passwords have been compromised. It would be helpful, but not essential, if the person responsible for your IT or your IT manager could also be on the call.
