Welfare benefit expert and trainer, Alison Markantonis will join us to provide practical tips, drawn from her experience working as a frontline benefit advisor, managing UC claims day-to-day for a housing provider.
Duncan Brown, former Head of Rental Income at London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham will describe how the council managed a successful transition to UC full service in 2016 and how he has helped other housing providers to improve rent collection.
We’ll have other case studies on each day and whether you’re a housing association, local authority or ALMO, they’ll help you to:
- Get the right operational structure and resources in place
- Ensure effective communication and engagement with residents
- Understand the staff response to UC and the importance of an efficient UCFS procedure
- Work in partnership with the DWP, including local Jobcentre Plus teams.

Cancellations and substitutions:
A full refund will be given if a cancellation is made 28 calendar days or more prior to the event, and a 50% refund if a cancellation is made 15-27 calendar days prior to the event. We regret that no refund can be given if a cancellation is made 14 calendar days or less before the event.
Cancellations must be made in writing, and will be acknowledged by HQN Limited. There is no refund for non-attendance, but delegates may be substituted at any time.
