Full speed ahead - are you ready for the Universal Credit roll out?

Full steam ahead - are you ready for the Universal Credit roll out?

Join us for an outstanding series of dynamic, practical seminars that focus on the real impact of UC and how to prepare for and manage in a full service environment.

These events will help housing providers deal with the realities - how to sustain collection performance, how to maintain excellent support and how to help residents to sustain tenancies.

RIEN Lead, Tony Newman will chair the day, sharing his experience of examining income management services working with UC across the country.

We’re also delighted to welcome Department for Work and Pensions to these events.

DWP will bring everyone up to speed with the very latest developments, provide practical tips on engagement and partnership working and answer YOUR questions.

Welfare benefit expert and trainer, Alison Markantonis will join us to provide practical tips, drawn from her experience working as a frontline benefit advisor, managing UC claims day-to-day for a housing provider.

Duncan Brown, former Head of Rental Income at London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham will describe how the council managed a successful transition to UC full service in 2016 and how he has helped other housing providers to improve rent collection.

We’ll have other case studies on each day and whether you’re a housing association, local authority or ALMO, they’ll help you to:

  • Get the right operational structure and resources in place
  • Ensure effective communication and engagement with residents
  • Understand the staff response to UC and the importance of an efficient UCFS procedure
  • Work in partnership with the DWP, including local Jobcentre Plus teams.

If you want tips based on learning from the reality of UCFS to enable your organisation to hit the ground running, that will greatly help maximise income, support residents, and boost staff confidence, then this is the event for you!

Once you've booked your place you’ll be invited to send us your burning questions so that we can make sure you get answers!

The full programme will be announced in the next few weeks but places are already going FAST – so book now to make sure you don’t miss out!

Here's what previous delegates had to say...

“Great investment of a day away from the office. Lots of advice and practical examples of taking the next steps.”

- Carolyn Palmer-Fagan, Interim Rents Manager, Tower Hamlets Homes

“Very informative day from several different perspectives. Good networking opportunity. Lots to think about in relation to the business and its residents. Most delegates remained for the duration of the day – including the last session – this is rare and shows how good the day was!”

- Jan Mills, Group Customer Involvement Manager, Clarion Housing Group
