Ask Alexa! – Could your housing officer be a robot

Virtual workshop

Hello, Alexa, could my housing officer be a robot? (Level 2 – intermediate)

Get up to speed with the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and the benefits technologies, such as chatbots/virtual assistants, can bring to your organisation and your customers.

Okay, so you’re savvy enough not to be sold on the hype around Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. But you do see the potential benefits that technologies, such as chatbots/virtual assistants can bring to your organisation and your customers.

Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Virtual Assistants are perhaps some of the key technologies that will transform the 21st century.

This workshop is a great opportunity to find out more about the potential as well as consider the implications. What will the social housing service of the future look and feel like in a world where machines can think for themselves and can interact seamlessly with humans?

This workshop will get you up to speed with the latest developments:

  • Hear from suppliers, emerging start-ups to more established players, about the products they have developed for the social housing space
  • Hear about how housing providers are harnessing this emerging tech for the good of their tenants and their organisation
  • Hear how one of your peers has adopted virtual assistants (in the form of Alexa skills) and is using Machine Learning to help tenants and repairs teams recognise boiler types.

You’ll go away with the information you need to begin planning the how, what and why of AI and ML in your own organisation.

The workshop will provide you with:

  • Examples of commercially available products that social housing providers are already using
  • The reasons why your peers have decided to adopt a virtual assistant and
  • How others are continuing to develop the use of AI/ML.

Essential for:

Everyone who already has a good understanding of technological developments in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and is looking to put it into practice in their organisation.

Suitable for all middle and senior managers regardless of the service area they work in.

Useful for executives and board members who may have heard of how other providers are using AI & ML and want to get a better understanding of what the reality of these technologies looks like vs ‘the hype’.
