Creating new worlds and augmenting the world around us – An introduction to how you can apply virtual and augmented reality for business benefits (Level 1)

Virtual workshop

Creating new worlds: The business benefits of augmented and virtual reality (Level 1 – introductory)

Virtual and augmented reality are the stuff of sci-fi movies and big-business with millions to spend on gimmicks that attract the headlines but achieve very little, aren’t they? Not necessarily.

In this introductory level workshop, we introduce the concepts of virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR), step through their recent maturity and democratisation, and look at some of the cost-effective ways to apply this technology in potentially surprising and practical contexts.

We’ll also look at some of their more outrageous and entertaining applications (because why not?!) to give you a sense of the scale and ‘the art of the possible’ when it comes to using VR and AR.

This session is ideal for everyone who is interested in how immersive technologies are being applied and is looking for inspiration.

It will bridge the gap for you  - between the seemingly impossible and the very achievable applications of immersive and augmented technologies.

It will help you to begin considering how you can take the first steps towards introducing it within your organisation.

Essential for:

All housing professionals interested in the possibilities presented by virtual and augmented reality and looking for inspiration about how the housing sector could apply these technologies.
