Job Description

We’re looking for two part time Support Assistants to join our friendly, busy staff team at Deepdene Avenue in Rayleigh, providing 24 hour care to the people we support.

The purpose of the role is to support three adults with learning disabilities in a shared home to maintain and develop their independence within the home. Other key duties will include supporting people to access the community to participate in new and established activities, and empowering each person to their own level.

Candidate Requirements

An understanding of Dementia, Diabetes and Learning Disabilities is desirable - however full training will be provided so previous experience within care and support is not essential for these posts.

The successful candidate(s) will demonstrate their passion for supporting people whilst ensuring that they have the ability to support with medication administration, support a person with their finances, uphold appropriate recordkeeping, and empower and promote independence within the home and out in the community.

We are looking for applicants with excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with a good standard of literacy and numeracy. You will also need to be flexible to work a shift pattern which includes early, late, night and weekend/bank holiday shifts.

  • Pay: £10,401 Annually
