Job Description

BCHA are seeking a Full Time Specialist Support Workers to be a part of our accommodation and outreach services supporting victims of human trafficking.

The Specialist Support Worker we are recruiting for must be flexible to work across the Dorset area, and the south of England as the role does involve travelling to various locations across the region.

We are looking for individuals who are able to work on a rolling rota which may include weekends, evenings and some unsociable hours and take part in an out of Hours On-Call System periodically.

BCHA are a diverse and growing specialist housing, learning and support provider based on the South Coast. BCHA helps people off the streets, out of abuse, over skills barriers and into independence and work, providing a range of accommodation, support, training and work opportunities.

We are currently looking to recruit a Specialist Support Worker for our dedicated anti human trafficking service. The Liberty Project supports potential victims of human trafficking on their journey through the national referral mechanism, offering accommodation and specialist support for a reflection and recovery period, this role includes providing outreach support across the south of England .

Candidate Requirements

Previous support work experience is essential and ideally the successful candidates will have an understanding of the issues faced by victims of human trafficking. Training will be provided but you must be willing to update your knowledge and understanding of this sector as you work.

We are looking for resilient, flexible and reliable people who are passionate about making a difference to people's lives and who are able to demonstrate their commitment to our services. Previous experience of working within a similar role is essential.

BCHA are seeking candidates who possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to make decisions, along with good administration skills including the ability to use Word, Excel and Databases.

A full UK driving licence and a car are essential to fulfil this position. Travel expenses are paid at 45p per mile relating to any travel during work activities.

Employment Details

  • Employment Type: Full time
  • Hours: 37.5 per week
  • Pay: £18,087 - £19,900 Annually
