Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum plus car allowance
This is an exciting time to be joining the Assets and Growth Team at Muir Group. The Association’s Board has just approved a revised strategy that will see a significant increase in our annual development programme. As a result, we have created this exciting new opportunity within the Assets and Growth Team to help deliver on this new strategy.
You will be responsible for project managing individual development schemes; monitoring and reporting on budgets, risk, programme and performance. You will help identify new business opportunities, including land acquisitions, Section 106 deals and other land and build package deals. You will be able to carry out financial and options appraisals. You will have line management responsibilities, and must be able to motivate, support and develop other members of our Delivery team to excel in their role. You will build positive working relationships, communicating effectively with internal colleagues, external partners and stakeholders to deliver the group's objectives.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working within the Development team of a Housing Association (or other appropriate discipline), delivering a range of development projects including mixed tenure, HCA funded schemes and Section 106/ land and build packages. You will be familiar with asset remodelling, and regeneration. You will have a good working knowledge of procurement and tendering requirements, contract documentation and compliance/ audit requirements. You will have the ability to monitor and manage project budgets, risk and programme. You will be able to write and present detailed board reports to support your recommendations.
To be successful you will be educated to a degree level (or equivalent qualification) or have significant experience in a property / construction related field. A professional membership of a relevant construction industry body (RICS / CIOB) would be an advantage.
