Job Description

Are you a strategic thinker with the ability to inspire and lead managers to deliver outstanding Supported Housing and Care services? We have an excellent opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join Estuary’s Support and Care Department as Manager – Registered and Nursing Services.

This role is responsible for overseeing the provision of registered and nursing services, ensuring the delivery of client-focused services which are high-quality, accountable and responsive in line with Estuary’s corporate values of excellence, care and innovation.

You will lead a team of committed experienced Registered Managers delivering services within our registered and nursing care homes for adults with learning and physical disabilities, providing support, supervision, motivation and leadership.

You will also be responsible for managing budgets, assessing risks, developing good practice and relationship management with our commissioners. You will use your skills to ensure Estuary’s interests in relation to funding and service development are met. The successful candidate will develop and monitor service-specific objectives, also implementing/reviewing policies and procedures in line with best practice and statutory requirements.

Candidate Requirements

As a leader in the provision of a high-quality registered and nursing services, you will use your skills and knowledge to develop and continuously improve our services and successfully negotiate with commissioners and stakeholders in the provision of current and future services.

You’ll also be an excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills, demonstrating the abilities to lead by example motivate staff and think analytically with a positive approach to problem-solving.

Experience of working at middle management level within the voluntary/social care sectors is essential, combined with a track record of people/performance management and proven experience of the development and delivery of high quality services.

A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks and current issues in the area of support and care are also essential.

This post involves regular travel to our services across Essex; therefore, a full clean UK driving licence and access to your own car are also required. Our office is based in Southend but we’re willing to consider agile working for this post. You can find our Agile Working policy included within the application pack on our website.
