Job Description

We are a value-orientated Housing Association working together to create communities where people want to live. We manage circa 5,500 homes over a wide geographical area and our residents include families, older people and those in need of special care and support.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly-redeveloped Property Services Team. We are looking for a Contract Management Surveyor based at our Burnley office, with regular travel through your region and to other locations within the group. You will work with the team to deliver improvement, investment, planned and maintenance works to set times, standards and budgets.

You will procure and manage the planned improvement and cyclical maintenance programme, monitor, inspect and arrange cyclical and day to day repairs, ensure contractor compliance with health and safety and manage expenditure and budgets for specific projects.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a suitably qualified surveyor with experience in a similar role, specifically managing contractors, collecting and utilising data to maintain assets and identify corrective actions and budget control. You will be knowledgeable in the specifications, standards and legislation related to this role.

It is essential for success that you possess excellent communication skills so you are able to relay complex information and build constructive relationships, influencing and managing expectations where necessary to guarantee positive outcomes.
