Job Description

Are you passionate about helping people transform their lives through an Apprenticeship?

We are looking for an exceptional Apprenticeship Development Officer to join our Community Investment team on a permanent full time basis.

As a key member of our team you will help to develop our national apprenticeship programme by identifying apprenticeship opportunities with our network of partners and support agencies, matching those opportunities with residents seeking apprenticeships. Once signed onto the right programme, you’ll monitor your caseload of learners and provide them with pastoral care, support and mediation to ensure they complete their certification successfully.

You’ll have a natural ability to build and maintain relationships between employers, prospective learners and apprentices, and demonstrate an organised and methodical approach in recording and monitoring outputs against agreed targets. It’s likely that you will already have experience of working with the long term unemployed and will talk passionately about developing people through employment and apprenticeship opportunities.

You should also be familiar with government related policies including the Apprenticeship Levy.

Your duties will include:

• Developing a network of support agencies & providers who will refer residents and support their positive progression into work.
• Signing up apprentices onto employer-led programmes and monitor Awarding Body registrations to comply with framework requirements.
• Conducting detailed timely reviews with learners and employers, monitoring all aspects of the Individual Learning Plans.

Transforming Lives and Communities

Social purpose is at the heart of Clarion Housing Group, and we aspire to reduce poverty and exclusion amongst our residents, by giving them the tools and support the need to tackle the problems they face and change their lives for the better.
