The Level 3 Qualifications in First Line Management enable participants to broaden their knowledge about effective management skills and techniques. They are designed for practising or aspiring team leaders and managers, supervisors and first line managers who have operational responsibility for a defined area of activity, and who wish to build on and develop their existing management skills and knowledge. 

We deliver in-house programmes that help participants to: 

  • Increase first line management confidence and capability 
  • Gain a greater understanding of what good management looks like 
  • Manage performance effectively including nipping performance issues in the bud 
  • Coach and develop others to help realise their potential 
  • Achieve an internationally recognised professional management qualification.

We offer two qualifications at this level: 

 
Qualification:

Level 3 Award in First Line Management

Unit:

Unit 3001V1: Personal Development as a First Line Manager

Requirement:
  • To attend a two-day workshop 
  • Submit one assignment (approx 2,500 words)
Support:
  • Personal tele-coaching 
  • Digital resources 
  • E-mail support 
Time:
  • Ten weeks from start to finish

 

Qualification:

Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management

Unit:
  • Unit 3001V1: Personal Development as a First Line Manager 
  • Unit 3008V1: Improving Team Performance
Requirement:
  • To attend two x two-day workshops 
  • Submit two assignments (approx 2,500 words each)
Support:
  • Personal tele-coaching 
  • Digital resources 
  • E-mail support 
Time:
  • Six-months

 

The workshops are designed to help learners fully plan how they will approach their assignment(s). They will know exactly what they need to do after each workshop and have started to progress their assignment(s) within the sessions. 

With you every step of the way and we’re always on hand to help 

Our approach is to break the qualification down into bite sized chunks so that learners know exactly what to do and how to tackle the work involved. All assignments are assessed and comprehensive written feedback will be provided. One-to-one confidential support is also offered via telephone coaching. 

We are sensitive to the needs of every individual learner, from those with academic experience to those that are completely new to the process and have never done a qualification before.
